I don't want them to change me., My family first came into gender roles when my sister was attending a private Christian school in our former city. My sister was pushed down by two boys then punished when she tried to fight back. The boys were trying to push her off of “their” bench that she was sitting on. My sister and the two boys were hauled into the principal’s office, where my own sister, who hadn’t done anything but defend herself, got nearly yelled at. Needless to say, my dad was outraged.

I will not handle gender roles. I am a white male. I am privileged. I will not lie about that. But I live in a society which persecutes women just for not having a dick. And to me, that’s awful.
