The problem is that they’re sending a message to young kids that Katniss is someone that she is not. By selling Barbie Dolls of Katniss, they are telling a younger generation and generally everyone that Katniss is not a character that we should respect, that she is not empowering. They are saying that she is someone that is a simple plaything, a piece in the games.
