I don't want them to change me., I totally agree with you. Going to far with the merchandise is way hypocritical. The whole book critisizes the unnecessary overconsumption of the Capitol and now they are doing the same thing and using THG to promote it. I don’t care if it brings cash. I mean, its overshadowing one of the many important messages of the books and I just think its disrespecting Suzanne Collins and her work.

This is exactly right and that is my entire point. Well, one of my points. Not exactly with the barbie dolls, but with the merchandise they’ve made in general, yes, it’s hypocritical and slightly ironic.
